Blue Hill YMCA to offer youth and teen fitness center orientation

Do you have a youth or teen who would like to work out in our Fitness Center?
Schedule an orientation today!

Youth and teens, ages 10 – 15, must attend a free orientation to learn safe, proper workout techniques before using the fitness center.

After completing the orientation, youth, ages 10-12 years, may use the fitness center when supervised by an adult. After completing the orientation, teens, ages 13-15, may use the fitness center without adult supervision.

Stop by the Blue Hill YMCA front desk or call 207-374-5359 to register for a session.

Purpose of Youth & Teen Orientation:

  • Learn fitness fundamentals.
  • Learn Proper dress code, etiquette and rules of the fitness center
  • Learn safe and proper use of fitness center equipment.

Orientation Preparation:

  • Arrive on time.
  • Proper attire is required. Wear comfortable athletic clothes and closed toe shoes.
  • Come prepared to be active.
  • Allow 30 minutes for for the orientation session.
  • Bring your completed consent form with a parent signature. (Consent form is required.)
