Alicia Grindle

School Age Coordinator

After graduating from Bucksport High School, Alicia earned an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Maine Community College. In 2013, she joined the Ellsworth School system as an Education Technician III in the Life Skills room at Ellsworth High School. Alicia also began her journey with the Y that same year as a part-time employee in the After-School program which soon led her to substituting in both the Toddler and Preschool programs. Alicia joined the Toddler program in the fall of 2014 and switched programs in 2017 to find a home in the Infant program which became a full-time leadership role in 2018. Alicia also heads up the Parent Committee for the Moore Center.

Alicia is a fraternal twin and lives in Ellsworth with her cat Axel. She is a licensed foster parent and is excited to offer her loving home to children in need. When not working, Alicia is a book lover and loves to camp, swim and craft.
