Main Street Memorial Mile Results

More than 200 people registered to walk or run in the Annual Main Street Memorial Mile held on Memorial Day. Brayden Beardsley, Surry, was the overall top finisher with a time of 4:29.35. This year 8 of the finishers finished below the 5 minute mark. Andrew Kephart, 4:44.35, Aaron Long, 4:45.59, Robert Ciano, 4:51.12, Scott Potter, 4:52.76, Rob Shea, 4:54.19, James Perry, 4:56.13 and Greg Dean, 4:58.20, all beat the 5 minute barrier. Kerry Allen, Washington, was the top female finisher, just missing the 5 minute mark with a time of 5:03.70.

Participants aged 2 – 75 started the event at the Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce on High Street and finished down at the intersection of Water & Main Streets. Many of the participants ran or walked in memory of fallen service men and women or deceased family members and friends.
