The Main Street Memorial Mile will take place on Monday, May 28th. This year there is a $100 prize for anyone who can break last year’s race record of 3:53.20, set by Louie Luchini. Registration is going on now through Saturday at the YMCA and on Monday at the Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce beginning at 7:30am. The race begins at 9:00am from the Chamber towards Main Street and ends on Water Street in front of R F Jordan & Sons. Applications are available at the Y and online at www.defymca.org. The cost is $15. All proceeds benefit the Down East family YMCA and the Beth C. Wright Cancer Center.
