We are excited to announce that the search for a new Branch Manager for the Blue Hill YMCA is over. Starting, Monday, November 20st, Bob Huff will become a member of the DEFY family as he steps into this leadership role in Blue Hill.
Bob brings a wealth of experience to the position and has served in multiple positions at the Mount Desert Island YMCA and the Bangor YMCA.
Bob is originally from the Owls Head, Maine area. He is a graduate of the University of Maine with a BS in Kinesiology and Physiology of Exercise. His YMCA career started at the Bangor YMCA as the Assistant Fitness Director and eventually as the Fitness Director. After that, he held a number of managerial positions in the customer service industry.
For the past five years Bob has worked at the MDI YMCA as the Membership Director and most recently as the Operations Director.
Bob lives in Bar Harbor with his wife Traya, daughter Megan and their two cats Carl and Judith. As a family, they enjoy traveling, hiking and exploring. He is excited for the opportunity to be part of the Down East Family YMCA team and serve the greater Blue Hill community.
In the coming weeks we will host Open Houses and the community will be invited to come get to know Bob.
