DEFY Dolphins swim to victory

The DEFY Dolphins, celebrating their 20th season, competed in their first meet of the season last Saturday, December 3rd. The Dolphins swam to a 552-365 victory over the Canoe City Swim Team. Highlights of the meet include:

92 swimmers participated in the meet.
DEFY won the meet 552-365. That is the most points we have ever scored in a dual meet, home or away!
We broke 1 team record: 9-10 Boys Medley Relay, 2:27.38, Sam Pelletier, Isaac Weaver, Camden Holmes, Atila Tanik.
We had 10 swimmers qualify for the New England Championships: Sam Alvarado, Keith Chandler, Erin Connery, Sidney Hamilton, Talor Hamilton, Camden Holmes, Cooper Holmes, Cecelia McEachern, Sam Pelletier, Atila Tanik.
We had 20 swimmers qualify for the Maine Winter Championships: Sam Alvarado, Austin Baron, Kate Brenner-Simpson, Keith Chandler, Jessica Cohen, Lainey Cohen, Erin Connery, Maks Grover , Sidney Hamilton, Talor Hamilton, Camden Holmes, Cooper Holmes, Beckett Markosian, Cecelia McEachern, Sam Pelletier, Leah Stevens, Atila Tanik, Sam TeHennepe, Hank Vinall and Taylor Wardwell.
A small group of the Dolphins will compete at the Bowdoin Open next weekend. The Dolphin’s first home meet will be Saturday, December 17th.
