DEFY Dolphins 4th at Summer Champs

The DEFY Dolphins scored 1663 points to capture 4th place at the Maine Summer Championships held last weekend in St. John, NB. 16 teams from Maine and a handful of teams from Canada competed at the Canadian Games Aquatic Center, a beautiful 50 meter pool in downtown St. John.

The Dolphins only had 22 swimmers attend the meet but made a big splash with an abundance of outstanding swims. 6 of the 14 & under swimmers earned high point awards for the meet, including Kristy Barry (9) 8th, Sidney Hamilton (12) 1st, Ava Sealander (12) 8th, Camden Holmes (12) 2nd, Sam Pelletier (12) 5th and Sam Alvarado (14) 6th.

The Dolphins also recorded a number of terrific swims from their seniors, including new National Qualifying times from Talor Hamilton (50 free, 100 back, 200 back and 100 fly), Cece McEachern (200 breast) and the Boys 200 Medley Relay, Maks Grover, Ben Walton, Talor Hamilton and Cooper Holmes. These Dolphins are in Atlanta this week competing in the YMCA Summer Long Course Championship Meet held at Georgia Tech.
