Justine loves the new Lawrence Family Fitness Center and the state of the art fitness equipment which makes wearing a mask while working out comfortable and bearable.
Having The Y in Blue Hill has been a blessing for Lori and she’s grateful to feel comfortable and welcome at the Blue Hill YMCA.
Oakley has been a member of The Down East Family YMCA since she was born in 2010. For most of her young life, she has been a Y kid following in sister Fiona’s footsteps. Both sisters participate in swim team and the outside dryland training the team did last spring and summer. Fiona has been[…]
Sara became a Y member as a toddler, joining in playgroups from the age of three. At age five, she started soccer and gymnastics through The Y’s partnership with Springer’s. She has been active in YMCA programming ever since. The YMCA shutdown this spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic was hard for Sara. Coming to[…]

The Y welcomed us back and did everything they could to make sure we are all back and back safely. The sense of community is amazing and the Y has shown tremendous strength through hardship this year.
The couple enjoy the socialization, the group workouts and the friends they’ve made in the years since they were first referred. They enjoy the program so much they’ve recruited their neighbors to join!
I welcomed the reopening of The Y’s outside classes and new pickleball courts and the opportunity to reunite with workout friends and instructors in June.
Being a Y member and employee has allowed my children and my family the joys of sports, summer camps, childcare, working out, swim lessons and a sense of extended family.
