Blue Lobster Program Comes to Bucksport, Fall 2023
The Blue Lobsters program provides an opportunity for children with disabilities to gather in a social setting providing a safe space for them to be themselves among their peers. Through this opportunity our participants gain confidence, social skills, and friendships to last a lifetime. Our “buddies” program stimulates inclusivity and acceptance of all individuals.
OUR MISSION
We strive to provide an inclusive environment where children with disabilities thrive through recreational opportunities and activities. Participants in our program will be able to develop meaningful relationships with their peers and both children and parents are provided a place to grow, learn, play and feel the support of a loving community.
WE ARE…
A Community-Based Program that serves as a Unified Champion Club for the Special Olympics.
Through our program, we can train and support local athletes for the Special Olympics who otherwise would not have this opportunity.
Our program is the first of it’s kind to provide opportunities to children in Maine.
Programs include:
